In recent years, the supporting industry has been tremendously invested to maintain its ability in supplying the manufacturing industry, especially the car industry and electronics. Molds, electronic components, technical rubber, etc. are the featuring products of the industry in Vietnam's market. Despite huge support from the government's policies, the supporting industry has yet to prosper, according to low localization rate. This is due to the lack of high-tech component production skills, but mainly plastic packaging and metal detailed ones. These factors have contributed to this industry being passive, therefore, largely depends on imported sources. Not to mention the price being raised has prevented them from entering the price competition among other components. These drawbacks are the burden to both the supporting industry as well as manufacturing industry as they lack an innovative foundation in competing with the fellow nations.
