On a Cleaning Spree
Even after decades of existence, penetration of vacuums in Indian households is very low compared to appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, hand-blenders, etc., and this mechanised cleaner still needs to prove the value-for-money proposition. The penetration of vacuums in Indian households stand at around 1-2% compared to 20-22% for refrigerators and 4-5% for microwaves. Penetration of vacuums is considerably low compared to the West, where it is even more than 77-80% in certain countries.
