October 2013 - Health and Wellness: Marketing Strategy for 2014

Bangkok, 17th October 2013 - Ipsos Business Consulting held a business luncheon at Cascade Club and Spa, Ascott Hotel, Bangkok where the theme was "Health and Wellness: Marketing Strategy for 2014"

More than 55 guests heard presentations from our guest speakers, Mr. Peter Snell, Global CEO of Ipsos Business Consulting and Khun Rattaya Kulpradith, Director - Ipsos in Thailand.

Peter gave his view on the current and future global and regional trends within the Health and Wellness industry and those issues that business in Thailand need to consider before finalizing their 2014 Sales and Marketing Strategy.  This included:

  • Trends Impacting the Health & Wellness industry from 2013 to 2014
  • Signs of a Shift from Disease Care to Wellness Care
  • New Product Developments in Response to Changing Consumer Demands
  • Increasing Business Competitiveness with Technology-Enabling Platforms

Khun Rattaya built on the presentation from Peter by exploring the relationship between mind, body and soul and how this determines our decision on spending money on particular products.

August 2013 - Our CEO shared his view on CLMV market to the morning news program in Thailand.

Our CEO Peter Snell gave an interview to Siriboon Naddhabhan, the Senior Reporter/TV Host for Morning News program which airs on Channel 3 in Thailand. Peter talked about the risks and opportunities for investment in CLMV countries. The program was broadcasted on 29th August 2013.

July 2013 - MICE India and Luxury Travel congress

Karthik Ramamurthy, Head AIM , IPSOS Business Consulting gave his speech to more than 200 leading Indian corporate, travel agencies, wedding planners, film production houses, DMCs, global luxury hotels and tourism boards who joined the high level congress, MICE India and Luxury Travel congress (MILT)at the Two-day event on July 25-26 2013 in Mumbai. He mentioned "There are not many places on Earth where an Indian does not travel. There is a new found enthusiasm amongst Indians in the last decade to explore offshore destinations. This enthusiasm at a consumer level along with the emergence of Indian corporate with transnational operations has gradually spilled over to the MICE market where overseas events are becoming more acceptable. But, very key to growing the market is understanding the drivers and catalysts to motivate the Indian mind."

June 2013 - South East Asia: Where is the Final Frontier?

Ipsos Business Consulting organised a client event in Vietnam, where Colin Kinghorn from Business Consulting shared the platform with Gordon Milne, the Asia Pacific director for Ipsos UU.  The event was focused on the opportunities for growth that exist in the four South East Asian countries commonly referred to as the CLMV bloc, i.e. Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.  The 70 delegates at the event heard an Ipsos view on which industry sectors in the CLMV bloc would provide the best opportunity for investors in the future.  The presentation from Ipsos Business Consulting highlighted to clients that clients should be looking at the following sectors as offering strong investment opportunities and being the catalyst for wider growth within these four important ASEAN economies:
  • Renewable Energy
  • Agribusiness
  • Automotive
  • Construction, and
  • Manufacturing
The final session of the event turned to consumer goods and delegates were then able to enjoy a presentation from Gordon Milne that focused on the reality of contemporary women across the CLMV countries. This with a specific emphasis on understanding how best to communicate with them in a relevant and meaningful way. The presentation was inspired by how brands can use insight to garner competitive advantage.
