September 2017 - Back to the golden era of the Vietnam swine market?

From November 2016, Vietnam swine market has faced difficulties and challenges when ex-farm gate prices have dropped significantly. Ipsos Business Consulting’s research and forecast suggest that the favored conditions that fueled pre-2016 market growth are less likely to materialize in the future. With the new market structure and dynamic, stakeholders will witness the shift in farming landscape, alternative farming practices and revisions of feed and animal health players’ strategy in Vietnam.

July 2016 – Tackling Unproductive Productivity Solutions

Over the past few years, Singapore has focused on raising productivity to achieve quality economic growth. Yet despite well-intended investments in new productivity systems, not all companies seem to be reaping the fruits of their efforts. Our research suggests that one of the key reasons is that many companies tend to have a piece-meal approach towards productivity. They focus on selected parts of their operations instead of having a holistic view of the whole workflow
process, or a clear understanding of where the true bottlenecks lie.

Ipsos Automotive - Impact of AEC on Automotive Industry in ASEAN

Our automotive experts organised an event in Bangkok, Thailand in cooperation with the Thailand Automotive Institute. The event looked at the importance of ASEAN as a global automotive production centre and the future opportunities within South East Asia. The 2015 forecast for Thailand Automotive Production was also announced by Ipsos Business Consulting. The event opened with a presentation from the President of the Thailand Automotive Institute and included a point of view from both Ipsos Business Consulting and Ipsos UU. August 2014 - Client Event on Emerging Markets in Singapore

Around 40 clients attended our business lunch in Singapore to hear from Ipsos speakers about Emerging Markets. Following an opening address from Miranda Cheung, CEO for Ipsos Singapore and Malaysia, the Ipsos Point of View was delivered by 3 speakers from our Ipsos Business Consulting and Ipsos UU divisions.

Tam Tran, our Country Manager for Vietnam gave a presentation on Vietnam’s economy. Linda Loh, our Country Manager for Singapore presented on location assessment. Delegates then heard from Amit Gulwadi of Ipsos UU on shopper trends in emerging markets. An interactive panel discussion followed the speaker presentations. This successful event is part of our regular lunchtime briefings for Ipsos clients in Singapore. July 2014 – Construction World: Handling Success

Suheil Murgai, Associate Director of Ipsos Business Consulting in Delhi, was featured in Construction World’s article “Handling Success”, which discussed how the revival of the Indian economy will spur the crane-dominated material handling equipment market to a high growth phase. According to Suheil, “Pick & carry, crawler and tower cranes are all seeing growth. But pick and carry cranes dominate the market because they lend themselves well to varied applications and customers are familiar with their usage. Escorts models enjoy 45 percent share of the pick and carry crane market. In the tower crane segment, 5-6 tonne models account for 75-80 percent of the market.
